New Features
A high definition receiver supporting both common HDTV output formats:
Component Y/Pr/Pb (using RCA type connections) and RGB (using DB-15 type
connection).
Two HDTV output formats: 1080i and 720P. When using the high definition
video outputs 480i, standard definition content (480i) is also upconverted
to 1080i or 720P.
The Model 6000's modular design allows hardware upgradeability to support
future technologies
"Adjust" feature for high definition mode, allows you to adjust
the position of the image on your screen
HDTV downconversion to standard definition (480i resolution) through composite
and S-Video outputs

Five methods to adapt a non-HD 16:9 image to a 16:9 HDTV to best suit
the preference of the viewer. Each mode is easily selected by pressing
the asterisk button on the remote control. Modes include:
Zoom - Proportionally expands the non 16:9 image horizontally and vertically
to fill the 16:9 screen.
Stretch - Expands the non 16:9 image horizontally to fill the 16:9 screen
Combined zoom/stretch - A hybrid of the Zoom and Stretch modes that minimizes
cropping effect of the zoom mode and image distortion of the stretch mode.
Black bars - each side of a 4:3 image can be masked with black bars
Gray bars - each side of a 4:3 image can be masked with gray bars
